Denise Reicher
Compensation Systems

An HR Consultant that I worked with previously to launch her application, Salary Source, was looking to update her personal brand and marketing, specifically to complement the aesthetic of Salary Source.

In order to help the client appear as a modern, trustworthy, professional, her website required a substantial update. We also worked together to write new copy that would emphasize her position as an experienced, trustworthy, professional in her field.

Prior to working together, my client did not have a personal brand, logo, or messaging. We worked together to explore what made them an asset to any HR team that might want to hire/contract with them and how to best phrase those strengths to appeal to the target audience.

Originally I tried to incorporate the Salary Source circle with a wave symbol, but eventually we settled on just using the same color gradient and font family.

Logos with more text, using the circle wave symbol form Salary Source
More simple logos using just "DR" the cursive dr was inspired by the wave from Salary Source

While discussing the clients brand, and how they wanted to position themselves, the phrase “get your compensation ducks in a row” stood out both as a fun phrase mentioning ducks, but also alluding to the importance of having a strong compensation system within a company in order to retain/pay talent competitively.

“Get your compensation ducks in a row” would become the hero section text, telling any visitors what my client could do for them and their company.

To go along with this, I drew up some ducklings being led by a leader duck for the hero image.

Previous clients and testimonials

To build trust we developed an extensive about page. I also gathered many testimonials and displayed them prominently in multiple locations. Additionally I added a carousel that displayed all of my clients previous clients, showcasing her vast experience.
